Printing Notices, Forms and Reports

The Lien Programs® have all the legal notices you will need for all 50 states, but it also has many forms that might come in handy as well as numerous reports you can print out.

There are a couple different ways to print out your notices. You can print them out individually by job or batch print them for multiple records. When you are first using the program we recommend you print them out individually just to get familiar with using the Lien Programs® .

Section 1: Printing Your Notices and Forms from the Current Jobs File.

Step 1: Locate the Job record you need to print out the notice or form for.

Step 2: Click on Print on the right hand side of the Current Jobs File. This will bring up a selection of notices and forms for you to print.

Step 3: Just select the notice or form you need to print and the program will take you to the next page for further information before printing. The program will automatically customize to the state you need the form based upon the Project information you entered and will also prompt you for specific information if that state requires it. The Lien Writer Lite Plus® and Lien Writer Lite® versions of the program are already set to the state you need based upon your registration information and will only print out for that particular state.

Section 2: Printing Texas Balance Due, Retainage and Special Fabrication Notices.

Step 1: Select the job you need the notice for and click on “Print” in the current jobs file. This will bring up the print selection screen.

Step 2: Click on “Preliminary Notice”. This will take you to another screen were you have the opportunity to change the signer, mailer and select the number of copies. Click on print to continue the special Texas screen.

Step 3: Select which type of notice you need. If you select Monthly Notice (Balance Due) the program will ask you what number this is. After you have selected the notice click on continue and print you notice.


Section 3: Printing Texas Notice of Intent.

Step 1: Select the job you need the notice for and click on “Print” in the current jobs file. This will bring up the print selection screen.

Step 2: Click on “Bond or Lien Claim and Stop Notice. This will take you to another screen were you can select the type of notice you need.

Step 3: Confirm the signer and mailer information is correct.

Step 4: Enter your estimated amount.

Step 5: Enter in amount done, the total amount of labor and materials on the job.

Step 6: Enter anticipated costs. These are filing fees, research fees, etc….

Step 7: Enter what is actually owed on the job and any credits due on the job.

Step 8: Select which notice you need, and number of copies you need. For the Texas Notice of Intent select the “Print Lien Claim”.

Step 9: Click on “Print” to continue.

Note: To print out any other notice (ie. waivers releases) just select the type of notice from the print menu and update fields prior to printing.

Section 3: Printing Reports and Labels.

Step 1: Click on Reports and Labels on the upper tool bar, this will bring up a selection for you to choose from.

Step 2: Select either the Report or Labels you need and follow the prompts.

Note. The Lien Programs® give you many different Reports to choose from the best way to determine which Reports work best for you is to just print them out at and review which ones are best for you.

Section 4: Batch Printing Notices and Forms.

Batch Printing can be done from the upper tool bar of the Lien Programs® program, just select the Notice or Form you need and follow the prompts. For more information on batch printing see the Lien Programs® Help files.

Note. Batch Printing is considered a high end function of the Lien Programs® we recommend you familiarize yourself with the Lien Programs® first before you utilize this function.
