Scope: State of New Jersey, Private Works.
Time Constraints: None. A Preliminary Notice for Furnishing Labor, Materials or Equipment is not required by this state. Instead, serve a Notice of Unpaid Balance and Right to File a Lien 10 days before filing your lien claim. Information Requirements: The information required by program and whether you intend to send an owner cover letter.
There are different requirements for Residential and Commercial projects. Be sure to check the Residential checkbox in the Project tab to denote a residential property. A construction project which includes any residential units is deemed “Residential” in nature.
Form Types: Preliminary Notice for Furnishing Labor, Materials or Equipment, Exhibits A-D (if needed), Recorder’s Letter, and Owner Letter (if used).
Procedures: Enter the program data, including Additional Legal Parties or Releases for Other Companies. Send copies to your customer, the owners, the general contractors, lenders and bonding companies as desired.
