Description: Notice of Nonpayment – Private Project

Scope: State of Florida, Private Work

Time Constraints: Before filing this notice you must have served a Florida Notice to Owner. See Florida Preliminary Notice, Private Work, for more information. Otherwise this notice must be served within 90 days of the date of your last furnishing, and is required before the Bond or Lien Claim itself is filed. See Florida Bond or Lien Claim, Private Work for more information

Information Requirements: Program information.

Form Types: Notice of Nonpayment and Exhibits A-D, if needed.

Procedures: Send copies of the prepared forms by certified mail to the owner and general contractors (if known). If you are not paid after 10 days file your lien claim. Make sure that your sending of the document does not exceed the statutory time to lien.
